Leah Evans

So jeal of Leah Evans.

Images taken from www.designboom.com and apartmenttherapy.com

I have been getting a little tired of all the map art I've been seeing recently (funny, because I've been recently embroidering a map) but Leah Evans takes it to the extreme with her intricate quilted maps. She has serious skills and patience which I am so jeal of.

Yumiko Arimoto

So jeal of Yumiko Arimoto.

I think she may have more hours in the day than the rest of the world or maybe I'm just an incredibly slow embroiderer, either way I haven't seen such beautiful work in a very. long. time.

Renilde Depeuter

 So jeal of Renilde Depeuter.

I've been following Renilde's blog At Swim-Two-Birds for a couple months now and her work is absolutely beautiful.  She's one of those few blogs that I am excited about when she posts new things. Not saying other blogs suck, it's just that she's real real good.

Sally Smart

So jeal of Sally Smart.

I feel like in all my years of 'looking at the internet' I would have run across Sally Smart sooner, but last night was the first. Needless to say she got my heart a beatin'.

Check out her website, seriously.

José Lerma

So jeal of José Lerma.

Jose, you're in like every gallery I've ever heard of. And.... you use felt. Double jeal.

David Méndez Alonso

So jeal of David Méndez Alonso. Of course he had to use felt, my favorite.

David also dabbles in illustration, street art, painting, and sculpture which makes me one green-eyed grudge mongeral.
